Funeral of Peter Lindley

Created by Rachel 3 years ago

We are sorry that we have to restrict numbers at the funeral; COVID restrictions mean only 30 people can attend and we have tried to invite representatives from lots of different areas of Peter's life.

For local friends unable to attend the service: we will be leaving home at 11.05am on Thursday 5th November and driving slowly down the high street in Haxey (from the church to the King's and then down Haxey Lane); if you would like to stand out on the street (suitably distanced from one another) and pay your respects to Peter that way, that would be lovely.

For friends from farther afield who cannot travel in these times, please do join us in a quiet moment of reflection and remembering at midday.

Please do all wear your brightest pair of socks on 5th November, whether you are at home, on the High St in Haxey or joining us at the service! Peter was renowned in the family for his 'jazzy socks' (particularly ski socks!) and we want to remember him with a smile.

In better times, we hope to have a proper get together to raise a glass and share some of our many many happy memories.
